About Me

People hire me to fix their “people problems.” I have a unique ability to quickly get at the root causes for many performance, communication, team, and trust issues. (I’ve also been called the “people whisperer!”)

My 30+ years of experience in corporate training, executive leadership, and the field of personal development, included an equal amount of rethinking myself and using my training and coaching expertise to create tools that have kept me on a successful trajectory in life.

Failure is an event, as Zig Ziglar points out. From my experience, success is also an event. It’s not who you are. Success is a mindset. Who you are becoming in pursuit of your dreams is what really matters.

My unique and deep experience in the field of neuroscientific methodologies helps me to go to the root source of thinking – which impacts every aspect of behavior and subsequently, relational and task performance competencies.

I bring a width and depth of experience to small to midsized companies experiencing challenges in the arena of leaders and their teams.

My passion for developing individuals from the “inside out” helps drive desired outcomes and better results in executives and their teams. Building healthy culture starts with one leader at a time. (Check out the new LeaderPrint© Experience!)
(I am also a South African ex-pat, now living in the beautiful paradise of Colorado Springs)

TEAM & LEADERSHIP RESET (Implementation Case Study)
The situation: I was hired by the Board to work with the leadership team of an FQ Community Health Center, following the exit of a long-serving CEO. The leadership team comprised 18 leaders cross-functionally, at the director, VP, and C-levels. Despite there being a dyad process in place, alignment around a common direction, goals, and values was evident. There had also been some conflict – showing up as triangulation, power plays, etc.
How I implemented RESET: I coached the C-level executives while engaging the rest of the team in a self-service coaching model. I then provided one-day workshops each month for 6 months. This training process walked the team through the core frameworks of successful leadership, while they completed a leadership and culture Charter document, in a collaborative step-by-step process.
The Outcome: There was a significant improvement in overall communication and functioning between the leaders and their teams. Individual leaders reported improvement in performance and less stress, as they re-framed internal thinking patterns in the coaching work. The interim CEO also reported resolved conflicts and more rigorous culture alignment. I subsequently assisted the Board in the selection of a new CEO.

PEOPLE SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATION:
The situation: I was hired to assist a small, but very fast-growing manufacturing organization in setting up and implementing effective systems for hiring, organizational development, leadership, etc.
What I did: Assisted in hiring a high-performing Administrative Manager who implemented hiring and onboarding systems I helped develop. I subcontracted an expert to develop regulatory documents, including an employee handbook. I provided 1:1 coaching with the leadership and delivered leadership training on a monthly basis. I equipped them with effective interviewing, performance management, conflict handling, and meeting management skills.
The Outcome: The owner reported significant improvement in overall communications, streamlined meetings, and more focus and alignment around core objectives. Key milestones were achieved in 2022.
